«Wings for Life» - Adventure into the engineering world

The Summer School opened in KNRTU-KAI

Since August, 13th , the Summer School «Wings for Life: Discovering Engineering Kazan from the Supersonic TU-144» opened in KNRTU-KAI. Participants from Germany and Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU), China, came to Kazan for two weeks to get new skills of engineering, make new friends and practice English.

 The Director of The German-Russian Institute of Advanced Technologies Alsu Gilmetdinova welcomed the guests: «We are glad to welcome you in Kazan and at our university. We are worried because this is our first Summer School and we hope that you will get good impressions and gain experience. We are sure you’ll become our link between Russia, Germany and China».

Within two weeks the participants will get acquainted with laser technologies, robotics, mechanics, IT and nano-technologies. They will be able to try themselves in designing 3D CAD models of the details of the legendary Tu-144 aircraft. Besides, Also guests will be able to see not only the historical Kazan, but the industrial side of the city. The guests will also visit the large companies and industrial complexes of Kazan, as well as GRIAT Research Laboratory, one of the institutes of KNRTU-KAI, an advanced German-Russian educational project.
