Engineering World through Pupils’ Eyes

31.08.2018

The Engineering boarding lyceum summer school passed in last days of August.

From 27 up to 29 of August 30 pupils took part in The Engineering boarding lyceum summer school of KNRTU-KAI. For three days they were able to learn how to model in a CorelDraw graphic editor, design, solder and assemble simple wiring diagrams, and also work on a laser machine. The guys were able to put their skills into practice: they were able to accomplish simple engineering projects — they made charms, night lights, and even a pneumohydraulic rocket.

Alexey Ogonev, Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs, conducted an informative excursion for the children about the future interactive museum in Tu-144. He told about the history of the supersonic aircraft, the peculiarities of its design and how it was transported and installed in a new place between the second and eighth buildings of KNRTU-KAI.

Pupils also visited the university nanotechnology center, laser technology laboratories and listened to a lecture on aviation technology.
