Projects of Production Association "Zarnitsa" and the Creative Association "Samrukh" are to proceed into the final stage.
On Tuesday, July 25, 2017, the two finalists of the Contest of concepts of the future Interactive Museum of Technology inside the Tu-144 supersonic passenger aircraft, installed in the campus of the university, were announced.
Participants were given a month to submit their application. All the projects received by the university were published on the website tu-144.kai.ru, where the open voting took place. As a result, 362 825 votes were collected.
The day before, on July 24, a meeting of the expert commission was held with the participation of the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism Mr. Sergei Ivanov, Chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of Kazan Mr. Ayrat Faizov, the Deputy Director General of the Tourism Development Center of the Republic of Tatarstan Ms. Alexandra Yushutina and other experts.
The decision of the expert commission was that the production association "Zarnitsa" and the creative association "Samrukh" are the two projects that are to proceed in the final stage of the contest.
Also, another significant event for our university took place at the event. The Director-General of the Vladimir Potanin Charity Fund, Oksana Oracheva, presented Mansur Safargaliev, director of the KNITU-KAI endowment fund, a certificate indicating the support of the Foundation for such initiatives as university endowment fund. In June of this year, KNRTU-KAI Endowment Fund was among the nine endowment funds of Russian universities and cultural organizations that received support from The Vladimir Potanin Foundation, as well as among four funds that received the maximum amount of five million rubles. The amount received from The Vladimir Potanin Foundation will be used to replenish the university's endowment, and the income will be directed to the creation of the Museum of Technology on the basis of the Tu-144 aircraft.
