On Thursday, January 18, a light-dynamic backlight was officially switched on under Tu-144 situated near the university's campus.
The University considered various aircraft lighting options. The task was not only to illuminate the board and the surrounding area, but to decorate it with light and color.
At the very beginning, it was decided not to illuminate the aircraft with white color, but to make a light-dynamic backlight with the combination of green, blue and white, which makes it possible to create a color from sky-blue to dark blue to imitate a flight of the airplane passing through clouds, azure sky, above and below the clouds.
Construction and installation work began in November 2017. There are several scenarios for coloring: takeoff, flying in the clouds, slow and fast color overflow. In everyday there will be stationary backlight with white and blue colors. From 23:00 to 06:00 the aircraft will be highlighted only with white without disturbing the nearest inhabitants. And on weekends and holidays, light-dynamic backlight is switched on with various scenarios of light-color transitions and overflows.
LED lighting fixtures and fixtures for functional lighting were used for the dynamic backlight with flight simulation.
The legendary supersonic passenger aircraft Tu-144 was installed on a plinth between the 2nd and 8th buildings on May 26, 2017. Installation of the machine on the plinth completed the first stage of the interactive museum of technology project. The transportation of the Tu-144 was accompanied by a whole series of technically complicated operations.
