A training seminar of the Foundation for Presidential Grants for non-profit organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the KNRTU-KAI.
A new competition to receive a grant from the President of the Russian Federation will begin soon. Ilya Chukalin, chief executive officer of the Presidential Grants Fund, talked about how to get support for the implementation of the social project.
Greeting guests, Albert Gilmutdinov wished productive work, and also noted that on that day he was not only the rector of the university, but also one of the grantees. Last November, the KNRTU-KAI’s endowment won 8.9 million rubles to create unique Interactive Museum of Technology for children and youth on the basis of the first supersonic passenger aircraft Tu-144.
Ilya Chukalin called the project realized by the university competitive: "It’s evident that the project is great, with the support of serious partners. The future museum of the Tu-144 will become a calling card not only for Tatarstan, but for the whole country as well".
Chukalin noted that the opportunity to change the social environment for the better was an important criterion in the selection of grant recipients.
According to the General Director of the Foundation, the creation of an interactive museum based on the Tu-144 will change lives of thousands of boys and girls. "They’ll understand, that if in those difficult times, people could do such a thing, today, in our modern world, they can do anything," he said.
