The future Interactive Museum of Technology was presented as a successful example of the integration of science and museum business.
From May 31 to June 3 in Moscow, the "Museum Guide" took place at VDNKh, on the basis of the international festival "Intermuseum". The event was an open discussion platform for museum professionals and professionals from other spheres of cultural and scientific activity. There were also presented the main directions of activity of the Foundation of Vladimir Potanin in the field of culture and modern design technology, ideas and practices.
The business program of the forum included 40 events. They were attended by more than 80 experts from six countries: representatives of 50 museums, eight universities, government agencies, the press, etc.
On Saturday, June 2, the forum held an open discussion "Too serious or too simple? Science in the Museum". Panelists tried to answer the following questions during the discussion: "How to talk about science, but not turn into a meaningless attraction"; "Who can tell about the latest research, and not about the scientific achievements of the past"; "Do we need a museum as an intermediary in the conversation of a scientist with a wide audience".
A project of an interactive museum of technology inside the Tu-144 airplane was presented as a successful example of the integration of science and museum business. It was presented by the deputy chief of the Public Relations Department of KNRTU-KAI, the project manager for the creation of the museum Alina Khabibullina.
The audience was told about how the scientific component of the concept including an interactive educational exposition was developed, about how to build a system of interaction with scientists and target audiences, and also about the method of using the theme "Art & Science" in the development of exhibits.
